Sarson ka Saag;Traditional Pakistani dish










Sarsoon ka saag : 


Saag 1kg Paalak 1/2 kg Bathoo 1/2 kg Salt to taste Green chillies 15 makai ka ata 1cup full . ( for tarka : khalis ghee 4tb.sp garlic 4 cloves ginger 1 small piece ) Method : wash and cut saag bathoo and palak. Take matti ki handi and add 10 cups of water and bring it to boil. Now add above vegetables and cover it and cook for 4 hours on medium heat. Now add salt and chopped green chillies and cook until water is dry. Make flame very low. Gratually add makai ka ata with left hand and stir with big wooden spoon with right hand so lumps will not form and safe your hand. If you want use quembee little to mix saag but not too much or it becomes chutni. Tarka : cut garlic n ginger and make it slightly golden in khalis ghee and add it to saag. Serve hot with white butter n home made chapati or paratha. Its an authentic recipe of my MIL. Simple and taste too good.
